Participate

Your support and participation in research are essential to our making progress towards finding a cure for familial (and sporadic) ALS. 

There are many ways to get involved:

• Participate in one of our research studies
• Encourage your family members to participate in a research study
• Advertise our studies through your local ALSA chapters and other support groups
• Volunteer to be available by phone or e-mail to answer questions from other potential participants about your experience in a research study
• Donate a DNA sample to research
• Help us fundraise
• Become a fan of University of Miami Familial ALS Research on Facebook
• Be our Webmaster
• Host a fALS Family Meeting or Fundraiser in your area
• Provide us with web links to stories in your community about familial ALS successes, struggles, and testimonials

We know that many of you are also active in your local ALSA, ALS-TDI, and MDA chapters.  We appreciate all that you do to support ALS research.
